Due to all you SICKIES out there we're cancelling the rest of the week's activities. So, no museum today and no potluck tomorrow. We'll incorporate those activities into the future month's activities.

Music Makers...BABYWEARING EDITION!

Today the Idaho Babywearing Chapter teamed up with Music Makers for lots of singing and dancing FUN! With the kids out of school there were lots of friends to sing and dance with. Thanks for including babywearing Music Makers! :)

Family Walk!

What a beautiful day for a walk! It was brisk out but there wasn't any wind so nobody complained! (Well, except Melissa but we'll blame that on pregnancy. ha ha ha) Thanks for the YUMMY pumpkin cookies Jen, they were perfect for the nice fall day!

Library Demo

We shook up the library with our demo! It was nice being there, hearing the stories and dancing to the music. A huge THANK YOU to the sweet ladies of the library for allowing us to come in to participate in story time and use the room after for our demo.

Remember to come to the Rigby Library!

Just a friendly reminder that we're starting our Babywearing Week in Idaho at the Rigby City Library.

We'll be attending storytime at 10:00 a.m. and then give a demo on different carriers right after, so come and enjoy some cute stories and remember to wear your baby!

Thread that matches
A sewing machine

About the instructor:

Kimber Tower is an internet taught babywearer. This year at the 2nd International Babywearing Conference in Chicago Kimber was an instructor for the Breastfeeding and Babywearing Class and Beginning ABC (asian baby carriers); along with judging the babywearing improv contest and modeling several kinds of carriers at the babywearing fashion show. Kimber was also the only person from Idaho who attends and hopes more Idahoans will attend the 2010 conference.

Kimber is the owner of Ball Baby Carriers LLC, a carrier company known worldwide for its' unique pattern, trendy prints and ease of use. Kimber's Ball Baby Pattern is available for free online as a gift to those who want to babywear but do not have the funds to purchase a baby carrier.

Kimber has been involved in the Idaho babywearing movement since it's inception. Her belief is that every baby wants to be worn, it is just up to the parent to find the right carrier for the baby/parent couple. Kimber loves to contribute to other's finding the babywearing love and hopes to see more families taking advantage of the benefits of babywearing locally.
