Just wondering if anyone out there wants some living advertising for your babywearing device that you make and sell. I am opening up a store in St. Anthony and want a better way to wear my almost 16 month old. I'd like to wear her on my back and be able to wrap her on all by myself. So, if you give me a wrap that you've made, I will wear it during hours and pass on your contact info and praise when asked about it. I'll even sell them in the store for you. Sounds good to anyone? That was great to see so many ethnic pictures in one place. I love love love traditional babywearing.. I will for sure be passing this on. To me, this is what it's all about. I have a really hard time with the trend of having to have the most carriers, most expensive carrier, most beautiful, etc. To me, those people are completely missing the point, and these pictures say it all. Thanks!
Another thing to note in light of the recent news with CPSC: check out the positioning of the babies in all of the carriers - these women having been doing it right for hundreds of year. Baby is almost always upright, sitting high, and any cradle positions are still upright for the most part. Fascinating! We have so much to learn from those who are indigenous and DON'T have the latest gizmo or technology.
